Antonie Donbraska

Funeral Mass of Christian burial will becelebrated for Antonie Marie Donbraska,87, at 9:30am Thursday, January 20, 2011 at St. Rose Catholic Church with TheReverend Father Michael Carr officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley ViewCemetery. A Rosary/Wake service will be held Wednesday at 7pm at the church. Visitation will be at Colyer Funeral Home from 2-5pm on Wednesday. The casket will be open at the Rosary but closed at the Mass. Antonie died Saturday,January 15, 2011 at Community Hospital in Torrington. Memorials may be made to St. Joseph’s Children’s Home. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send their condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com Antonie was born March 12, 1923 in Touhy, Nebraska the daughter of Louis and Antonie Rose (Pavlicka) Zavorka, Sr. The family moved to a farm in the Sheep Creek area in the late 1920’s. They later farmed in the Yoder and Hawk Springs Communities where Antonie grew up and attended school. She married Dudley Haines on October 2, 1938 at Hot Spring, South Dakota. The couple lived in several places in Wyoming and Colorado and were later divorced. She married Ernest Wilkins on January 2, 1958. They lived and worked on their ranch in the Lone Tree Canyon area for nearly 30 years. Mr. Wilkins died in 1987. Antonie married John Donbraska on June 14, 1989 and they lived in Torrington. She lived at the Goshen Care Center for the past five years. Antonie worked as a cook at the Mustang Café in Torrington and also worked at Miller’s Keep-you-neat Cleaner’s. She was also the cook at the Iowa Center School. She was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church. She enjoyed being with her family and her grandchildren. She liked animals and flowergardening. She was a natural artist. Antonie also liked country music, singing, dancing, and sewing. Antonie is survived by four daughters, Bettyann Marie Haines (James) Absher of Torrington, Wyoming, Marie Antoinette Haines (Roy) Frazier of Rockford, Illinois, Patricia Lynn Haines (Bob) Adams of Torrington, Wyoming, Beverely Jean Wilkins (Harvey) Shonts of Colorado Springs, Colorado; two sons, David (Carmen) Haines of Greeley, Colorado, Dudley (Teresa) Haines of Torrington, Wyoming; three sisters, Louise Urbanek of Torrington, Wyoming, Mary Rutar of Thurston, Nebraska, Annie (Jim) Votava of Clearfield, Iowa; two brothers, Frank Zavorka of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Joe (Marge) Zavorka of Torrington, Wyoming, Charles (Dorothy) Zavorka of Torrington, Wyoming; two step-sons, John Donbraska, Jr. of South Dakota, Vernon Donbraska of South Dakota; 15 grandchildren; and 21 great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husbands Ernest Wilkins and John Donbraska; a son, Douglas Dumont Haines; two brothers, Wencel and Louis Zavorka; a great granddaughter, JoAnna Baros; and a great grandson Xavier Haines.
