Audrey Vandre

Memorial services for AUDREY J. VANDRE, 74, will be held at 3pm Saturday, August 27, 2011 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Steven Seng officiating. Audrey died August 19, 2011 at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the family. Audrey was born December 2, 1936 in Portage, Wisconsin the daughter of Burton and Leah (Freeland) Higley. She grew up and received her education in Wisconsin, graduating from Poynette High School. She attended teacher’s college in Columbus, Wisconsin. She married Harold Vandre on May 10, 1958 in Portage. As a military wife she followed her husband all over mostly in Portsmouth, Virginia. After his retirement they moved to and lived in Texas from 1979 until 1995. Harold died in 1991. She moved to Torrington, Wyoming in 1995 and just recently moved in with her daughter Chelly. Audrey enjoyed crocheting, fishing, camping, and especially spending time with her family. Audrey is survived by two sons Harold "Butch" Vandre Jr. and his wife Carmen of Torrington, Wyoming and Richard Vandre Sr. and his girlfriend Sherri Edwards and her two sons of Poynette, Wisconsin; a daughter Chelly Stotts and her husband Randy of Torrington; grandchildren Harland Terry and his wife Jamie and their children Delany and Diana of Fort Drum, New York, Richard Vandre Jr. and his girlfriend Morgan and their children Colton and Kasen of Tatum, Texas, Mareta Beaman and her husband Brad and their children Jordan Michelle and Destiny Dawn of Torrington, and Nathan Bartow and his fiancé Beth Allan of Torrington; step-grandchildren Paul Dorn of Poynette, Chelsea Harris and Chelsea Tatum of Tatum, Anthony Hernandez and his wife Christina, and Anna Garcia and her husband Thomas all of Texas; step-great grandchildren Jaden, Sean, and Adrian Hernandez, and Saydee and Briana Garcia; five sisters, Leone (Bob) Pearson of Warrens, Wisconsin, Priscilla Hoyheim of Poynette, Betty (Leon) Brickl of Rochelle, Illinois, Sherry (Richard) Arfmann of Crosby, Texas, and Judy (Chuck) Grotzke of Princeton, Wisconsin; two brothers Ray (Marlene) Higley of Poynette, and Gary (Jeanette) Higley of Waldo, Wisconsin; a sister-in-law Joyce Higley of Sparta, Wisconsin; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Harlan Higley; a sister Kathy Higley; and a grandson Justin Elliott Vandre.
