Bob L. White TORRINGTON, WYOMING – Bob Lee White, 71, died Friday, November 13, 2015 at Community Hospital in Torrington. Memorial services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday, November 18, at the United Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Kroeger officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to either the Methodist Church, the Southeast Boosters, or the Torrington Twisters Softball organization in Bob’s name. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends may send their condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com Bob was born July 13, 1944 in Lincoln, Nebraska the son of Dorence Shelton and Dorothy Ellen (Bacon) White. At the age of 5, Bob moved with his family from Lincoln to a dairy farm north of Torrington, at Gleaner’s Union. He worked on the family farm thru high school. He was always interested in 4-H. His mother helped implement 4-H in Goshen County. In 1964, Bob graduated from Torrington High School. After meeting on a blind date, he married Linda Salmon June 20, 1965. Bob worked in Lyman at Kirt Manufacturing, in Gering at Lockwood doing machine work and then back to Kirt’s until he retired in 1999, due to the loss of his eyesight. After retirement Bob was able to spend more time on his leather work. He also enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. Bob loved coaching and watching his kids and grandkids in all sports. He was always into fishing, hunting, leather crafting, bowling, kids’ sports and 4-H. Bob was a member of the United Methodist Church in Torrington. Survivors include his wife Linda of Torrington; son James (Laura) White of Las Vegas, Nevada; daughter Joyce (Bill) McKiney of Veteran, Wyoming; daughter Janet (Travis) Ekwall of Torrington; grandchildren, Trenton and Jesse White of Las Vegas, Kacie (Allan) Tuberville of Camp Crook, South Dakota, Tyler (Kody) McClun of Veteran, Darcy McKiney of Veteran, Morgan, Shelby and Haylee Ekwall of Torrington; great grandchildren Jayce, Jaxson and Jessie Tuberville of Camp Crook and Mason McClun of Veteran. Preceding Bob in death were is parents and a granddaughter Rhoswyn Lauren White.
