Dale Schauerman

TORRINGTON, WYOMING...........Funeral services for our loved one DALE R. SCHAUERMAN 77, will be at 10am Tuesday, June 9, 2009 at Lighthouse Ministries with Pastor Rick Carroll officiating. Burial will follow in Valley View Cemetery. Dale passed away peacefully June 5, 2009 at Community Hospital surrounded by his loving family. Memorials may be made to either the Special Touch Program at Community Hospital or Lighthouse Ministries. Visitation will be Monday from 3pm to 7pm. The casket will be closed at the service. Dale was born September 28, 1931 in Wheatland, Wyoming to Alex and Molly (Becker) Schauerman. The family moved to Lingle, Wyoming to farm when Dale was a young boy. He received his education in Lingle, while also helping his father on the farm. On October 1, 1950 Dale married his sweetheart Dorothy Ault. He continued farming with his father in the Veteran area for several years until becoming employed with Goshen County Road and Bridge. He started his County career with several bridge and road maintenance positions, before eventually being offered the position of Road and Bridge Superintendent to which he accepted. He remained Superintendent until his retirement in 1994. During his retirement he enjoyed woodworking in which he made several beautiful and wonderful projects for his children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren. He also donated his woodworking talents to the Torrington Learning Center. Dale enjoyed working outside in the springtime, and if anyone found themselves driving by his residence they would see what green thumb he truly had. His woodworking will be a lasting presence of his love for his family. He will be truly missed by us all. Dale is survived by hi wonderful wife of fifty-eight years, Dorothy; son Don Schauerman and his wife Diane Draper of Littleton, Colorado; daughters, Kathy and her husband Rick Lackman of Torrington, Wyoming, Diane and her husband Dean Clyncke of Johnstown, Colorado, and Mary Ann Schauerman of Torrington; nine grand children; and fifteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers; and an infant son.
