David W. Kendall

Funeral services for DAVID W. KENDALL, 77, will be held at 10am Tuesday, July 28, 2026, at Riverside Church with Pastor Gary Flom officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery in Lingle, Wyoming. David went to be with his Lord and Savior on July 21, 2026, at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Visitation will be Monday from 3pm to 5pm at the funeral home and at the service. Arrangements are by the Colyer Funeral Home and condolences can be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com. David was born on January 17, 1949, in Hastings, Nebraska to Glen and Leora Kendall. He grew up in Sutherland, Nebraska. At the age of sixteen, he accepted the free gift of salvation by accepting Jesus as his Lord and Savior. After graduating high school in 1967, he attended the Prairie Bible Institute in Three Hills, Alberts, Canada for two years. In January 1970 he joined the United States Air Force and served his country until December 1993. During this time he obtained his Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration and his Master’s Degree in Economics. David married Marleen Connelly on May 21, 1970 and they raised four children- Denise, Debra, Matthew and Nathan. After retiring from the Air Force and moving to Lingle, Wyoming, David served as the town clerk/treasurer for seventeen years. David was a caring, gentle, soft-spoken man who was always willing to help others. He was active in his church, President of the Board of Land of Goshen Ministries, and went to the Wyoming Women’s Center in Lusk every Thursday evening to have bible study with the ladies there. David and Marleen enjoyed traveling and took many memorable trips. David also enjoyed reading, playing cards, his horses and watching westerns on TV. David is survived by his wife of fifty-six years, Marleen; his daughter and son-in-law Denise and Matt Miller of Kansas City; his sons Matthew of Kansas City and Nathan of Torrington; his granddaughter Natasha of Mansfield, Texas; four brothers, Scott, Mark, Casey and Kelly; as well as nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his daughter Debra Stump; his parents; his mother and father-in-law Ray LaVeda Connelly; and his beloved grandmother Clare Law.
