LINGLE, WYOMING...........Funeral services for DONNA LEE WUNDER 81, will be held at 2pm Saturday, June 5, 2010 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Lingle with Reverend Curtis Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Hillcrest Cemetery. Donna died at her home on June 1, 2010. Memorials has been established to the church or Prairie Haven Hospice. Visitation will be Friday from 3pm to 7pm and prior to the service at the church. Donna was born January 28, 1929 in Lingle, Wyoming the daughter of Ira and Inez (Sims) Peterson. She grew up there and graduated Lingle High School in 1947. She then attended Lawrence Beauty School in Cheyenne, Wyoming for a year. She worked briefly for Ruthie Herdt in Torrington, Wyoming before starting Donna’s Beauty Shop in Lingle in 1950. She married Harold Wunder August 1, 1952 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska and in 1953 they moved to Denver, Colorado and then to Scottsbluff where she worked various jobs. They moved to Blair, Nebraska for a short time before moving back to Lingle in 1973. She helped her husband start an appliance repair business and then in 1976 she started working for the Lingle School System as a paraprofessional. She retired in 1993. Donna enjoyed crocheting, cooking, reading, and playing bridge. She was a member of the Lingle Community Presbyterian Church, several bridge clubs, was a Lioness, and served many years as Secretary of the Goshen County Senior Friendship Center Board. Donna is survived by two sons Harold “David” Wunder and his wife Vickie of Silver Springs, Maryland and Roger Lee Wunder of Lingle, Wyoming; a daughter Rita Wagner and her husband George of Gilbert, Arizona; two sisters Dixianna Bremer of Lingle, and Carolyn Haeffelin and her husband Gary of Torrington, Wyoming; one brother, Kenneth Peterson and his wife Carol of Lingle; five grandchildren; and three great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother Russell Lee; a sister Betty Jean; and a great grandson Patrick.
