Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for ELOISE M. HERRERA, 94, will be celebrated at 11am Friday, November 6, 2015 at St. Rose Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss officiating. Cremation will take place following the services and burial of the ashes will be Saturday November 7, 2015 at 2pm. Eloise died October 29, 2015 at Brighter Days Adult Family Home in Vancouver, Washington. A Rosary will be recited on Thursday at 6pm at the church. A memorial has been established to Our Lady of Guadalupe Society. Visitation will be Thursday from 3pm to 5pm at the funeral home and the casket will be open at the rosary. Eloise was born November 13, 1920 in Omaha, Nebraska the daughter of Paul and Petra Basquez. She married Albert Herrera on October 4, 1938 in Greeley, Colorado. She lived in Lingle, Wyoming, Torrington, Wyoming, and Craig, Colorado before moving to Amboy Washington in 2010. She lived a full life. He Catholic faith was very strong. Her children meant the world to her. She loved getting letters. She would say "with a letter I can re-read many times and know you’re taking time out of your busy day". She loved getting hugs and giving hugs. Eloise was a member of St. Rose Catholic Church and Our Lady of Guadalupe Society. Eloise is survived by Albert Herrera Jr of Cheyenne, Wyoming, Helen (Mitch) Fox of Amboy, Washington, Robert Herrera of Booneville, Arkansas, Connie (John) Montano of Cheyenne, Diann (Bennie) Otero of Craig, Colorado, Manuel Herrera of Craig, Raymond (Linda) Herrera of Craig, Eleanor Hernandez of Vancouver, Washington, Joel Herrera of Alliance, Nebraska, Petra Mead of Vancouver, Tomi (Dave) Hunter of Torrington, Wyoming, and Veronica (Dan) Bennett of Arvada, Colorado; twenty-three grandchildren; fifty-two great grandchildren; sox great-great grandchildren; a brother Robert (Anne) Vasquez of Moses Lake, Washington; a brother-in-law Eugene Herrera of Pueblo, Colorado; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband Albert; daughters Lydia Ann and Margaret Mae; and granddaughter Tyla Fox.
