Esther May Dick

Graveside Services for ESTHER MAY (FRASIER) DICK, 84, will take place at Prairie Rest Cemetery in Guernsey Wyoming on October 11, 2025, at 10:00 am. Esther departed this life on Thursday September 11, 2025, at Rust Medical Center in Rio Rancho, New Mexico. Esther was born on February 2, 1941, in Wheatland, Wyoming to Clifford Elton Frasier and Erma Virginia Carbis. Esther grew up in Guernsey, Wyoming and graduated from Guernsey High School in 1959. After High School she attended Eastern Wyoming College in Torrington, Wyoming earning an associate’s degree. She later attended Chadron State College working on her Library Science Degree. She married Merle Dean Dick on November 5, 1960. in Torrington, Wyoming. To this union two children were born. She was employed by Goshen County Unified School District #1 at Lincoln Elementary School in Torrington, Wyoming as a music and library aide in 1974. Esther retired from Lincoln Elementary School as Librarian in 2004, giving 29 years of service to the school district. Esther enjoyed bowling, reading, jig saw puzzles, houseplants, crafts and playing cards with her friends. She collected apples, cats and fairies. During her lifetime she was an honorary member of Bethel 34 of Guernsey Order of Jobs Daughters and a member of Royal Neighbors. Esther was a recipient of The University of Wyoming Honor Scholarship. Esther was welcomed into heaven by her parents Clifford Elton Frasier and Erma Virginia Carbis, step-parents Joseph Nicholas Calmes and Elizabeth Lucille (Gorman) Frasier, brothers William Hugh Frazier and Micheal Thomas Calmes, grandparents William Ernest “Ernie” Carbis, Esther Viola Cadwell, Bert Clement Frasier and Jenny May Brown and great grandparents Thomas John “Tom” Carbis, Mary Susan Wilkins, Dwight Howard Cadwell, Amanda Jane “Amy” Stauffer, Lewellyn Frasier, Anna Elizabeth Bair, Bryon Abbott Brown and Margretha “Maggie” Schafer. She was named after her grandmothers Esther Viola Carbis and Jennie May Frasier. Those left to cherish her memory are her two children Clifford Ernest Dick and Virginia Corinne Mues, one brother Allen James Calmes, one sister Loxi Jo Mainini and one step-sister Betty H Bumgarner, five grandchildren Zachariah Scott Mues, Amanda Nicole Mues, Troy David (Karen) Staker, Tara Marie (Chad) Staker, Todd Alan (Andrea) Staker, eight great grandchildren Tyler Scott Mues, Rylie Mae Mues, Makinley Remington Mues, Macie Gracelynn Mues, Jase Ryker Mues, Ethan Jamison Mues, Connor Blake Mues, Madilynn Parker Mues, Crickit Rene Larson, Ciylee Jo Larson, Kaylee Marie Loya, Andrew James Staker, Aiden Lee Staker and Olivia Grace Staker. We bid farewell to our mother, sister, grandmother and great grandmother whose journey of life concluded peacefully with her family by her side.
