Henry Nedens

TORRINGTON, WYOMING...........Funeral services for HENRY NEDENS 87, will be held at 10am Wednesday, August 19, 2009 at Our Savior Lutheran Church with Reverend Marvin Temme officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Henry went to be with his Lord and Savior at Regional West Medical Center in Scottsbluff, Nebraska August 15, 2009. Memorials can be made to the Special Touch Program at Community Hospital. Visitation will be Tuesday from 3pm to 7pm and prior to the service at the church. Henry was born August 30, 1921 in Garryowen, Montana the son of Gottfried and Elizabeth (Jung) Nedens. He served in the U.S. Air Force during WWII. He married Margaret Keller on April 9, 1947 in Hardin, Montana. They lived in Hardin where he farmed until they moved to Torrington, Wyoming where he continued to farm until he retired in 1985. He moved into town where he enjoyed woodworking, collecting miniature tractors, and working in his yard. Henry was a member of Our Savior Lutheran Church in Torrington. Henry is survived by his children Richard (Willene) Nedens of Lingle, Wyoming, Ron (Mary) Nedens of Hardin, Montana, and Henrietta (Joe) Clutter of Torrington, Wyoming; one sister Lydia Stricker of Hardin; two brothers, Harry (Katherine) Nedens of Livingston, Montana and Bill (Annabel) Nedens of Billings, Montana; six grandchildren, Jeff (Jennifer) Nedens and Jennifer (Garry) Ratzlaff both of Billings, Christy Hacker of Rapid City, South Dakota, Shawna (Anthony) Paules of Lingle, Brian Hacker of Green River, Wyoming, Jillene (Michael) Honold of Coon Rapids, Iowa, Rick (Jeannie) Gabel, of Palmer, Alaska, and Shannon Gabel of Wyoming; great grandchildren Cody and Courtney Gabel, Bailey Nedens, Andrew and Gavin Ratzlaff, Katelyn and Tyler Nedens, Leah Hill, and Aspen Hacker. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Margaret of forty-seven years; brothers, Victor, Edward, and Fred; sisters, Marie Uffleman, Effie Blackford, and Amelia Schilreff; and a grandson Joel Nedens.
