SULPHUR, OK…..Graveside services for JACQUITA LUCILLE LONG, 85, will be held on Tuesday, June 1, 2010 at 1pm at Oaklawn Cemetery in Sulphur, Oklahoma. Visitation time will be held Tuesday morning at Clagg Funeral Home before the service. In lieu of flowers the family would like memorials to go to St. Jude’s Children Hospital and to Special Touch at Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyoming. Jacquita passed away on May 26, 2010 at Community Hospital in Torrington, Wyoming. She was born to Joe and Nettie (Cobb) Walker in Macomb, Oklahoma on July 29, 1924. She received her education and High School diploma in Macomb. She met and married her husband Sell Wilburn Long in Shawnee, Oklahoma on May 25, 1946. The couple moved to Borger, Texas and continued to live there for 48 years. She moved to Sulphur, Oklahoma in 1986 with Sell and continued to live there after his passing in 1994. In 1997, Jacquita moved to Torrington, Wyoming to be close to her daughter Pat. She lived on Buena Vista and then most recently Evergreen Court. She enjoyed ceramics, reading, crocheting, and latch hook rugs. Jacquita is survived by son, Charles Long of Houston, TX, daughter Patricia Schmer of Torrington, WY, 3 grandchildren, Julie and husband Steve Ferro of Houston, TX, Jason Long of Austin, TX, Donnie and her husband Josh Wilson of Norman, OK, and one great-granddaughter Layne Bulow. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Sell Wilburn Long, brother Dick Walker (1984), sister Betty Birdsell (1987), and one son-in-law Don Schmer.
