James "Jim" Korbin Sell

Funeral Mass of Christian Burial for JAMES “JIM” KORBIN SELL, 57, will be held 10am Tuesday March 10, 2026, at the Saint Rose Catholic Church with Father Ray Moss officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Visitation will be at the funeral home Monday March 9, 2026, from 3pm to 5pm. Jim passed away peacefully March 1, 2026, at the Saint Francis Hospital in Tulsa, Oklahoma surrounded by his loving family. Sell was born June 26, 1968, in King County Memorial Hospital in Seattle Washington to James D. & Karol E. Sell. The family moved back to Wyoming in 1971. Jim attended Lincoln Elementary, Torrington Middle School and Torrington High School. James worked at Valley Pipe and Supply after graduating high school. Jim went to Virginia for construction work. He returned home shortly after to help with his father James. His dad passed shortly after he returned to Wyoming. Jim joined his sister Jodene and family, and they all moved to central Nebraska. Jodene and Jim's youngest brother passed away in 1999. The family moved to Oklahoma to join a family construction business where Jodene’s husband Scott and Jim were employed. Jim journeyed out to drive a semi for a time. Sister Jodene passed away with Cancer in 2013. After her passing Jim decided to go back to school to become a teacher. Jim graduated from OSU with a teaching degree and he graduated with honors! Jim taught at several schools in Oklahoma with his last stint with Nathan Hale Elementary. Jim was instrumental in helping raise nieces and nephews. Through teaching Jim was about making a difference and empowering many lives. Jim is survived by his late Sister Jodene’s children Jennifer, Jori and Spencer Johnston. Sister Tammy Heying and her children Stephanie, Rebecca, Wade and Zachary. Survived by a host of great nieces and nephews, cousins. Jim had a few close friends/colleagues Cable, Betty, Mary and Ashley and many more that Jim met along his journey. Jim is preceded in death by his parents James & Karol Sell, sister Jodene and brother Jeffery along with his infant niece Amber. Ely grandparents, Sell grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, and Cousins.
