Janice "Chink" Marsh

Janice “Chink” Marsh, 77, passed away in her home Friday, April 29, 2016 in Torrington, WY. Memorial services will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 6, at the All Saint’s Episcopal Church with Father Brian Gross officiating. There will be a reception following services at the Pioneer Room located in the Lincoln Center in Torrington at the corner of D Street and 23rd Avenue. Cremation has taken place. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the All Saint’s Episcopal Church or donor’s choice in Chink’s name. Janice born July 10, 1938 in Alliance, Nebraska the daughter of Allen and Eunice (Mullender) Long. She was the youngest of two children. Chink participated in several activities while in high school. She was popular with her classmates of the 1956 graduates. On September 2nd she married Bill Marsh, also from Alliance and a 1953 graduate and recently discharged U.S. Marine after a three year tour. Two sons, Michael and Jeffrey were born to this union. She and Bill would have celebrated their 60th anniversary in four months. Her mission in life was to leave this world a better place than when she arrived. She has touched the lives of all those people who have been fortunate enough to know her. She was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother and recent great grandmother. Additionally her positive attitude and infectious laugh was up lifting to her students, colleagues and friends….she accomplished her mission. Also, Chink, through her hard work and determination, earned her Associates Degree from EWC and a Bachelors and Master’s Degree from the University of Wyoming. A true not-traditional student, she accomplished these academic challenges after Mike and Jeff entered high school. Chink then provided exemplary service employed by Goshen County School District for approximately twenty years. She was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church and a member of PEO Chapter AK. Everyone who knew her will miss her and remember their times together. She is survived by her husband Bill, son Mike and grandson Jacob, son Jeff (Cathy), grandson Britton (Brenna) great-grandson Finley, and granddaughters Blakeley and Allison and several nephews and nieces. Preceding her in death were her parents and sister Phyllis.
