TORRINGTON, WYOMING...........Funeral services for JUNE A. CHISHOLM VICKREY, 77, will be held at 1pm Saturday, March 27, 2010 at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints with Bishop Richard Nelson officiating. Burial will follow in the Mitchell Nebraska City cemetery. June died March 23, 2010 at Community Hospital in Torrington. The casket will be open prior to the service at the church. June was born December 28, 1932 in St. Charles, South Dakota the daughter of Harry and Hazel (Doyle) Campbell. She grew up in Laramie, Wyoming and received her schooling there. She moved to the Boise, Idaho area where she met and married Gerald Chisholm on July 6, 1949. They moved to Goshen County Wyoming in 1949 and she worked as a cook at the hospital later moving into the kitchen manager position. They moved to St. George, Utah for a year and then to Scottsbluff, Nebraska for several years before moving back to Torrington in the early 1970's. She worked and managed the kitchen at the Senior Friendship Center. She was a volunteer Grandma at the local grade school until she was injured in 2004 and had to retire. Most of her adult life she was also a care giver for the sick and elderly. June enjoyed embroidery, making photo collages, gardening, feeding the squirrels and birds, and collecting shoes. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints where she sang in the choir and she also was a member of the Presbyterian Church Choir. June is survived by three sons, George Chisholm and his wife Debby Dunbar Chisholm of Torrington, Glenn A. Chisholm and his wife Lynn of Salem, Oregon, and Greg M. Chisholm and his wife Jennifer of Ann Arbor, Michigan; two daughters, Penny B. Dykes and her husband Hadley of North Glenn, Colorado and Colleen C. Jones and her husband Jody of Ft. Collins, Colorado; daughter-in-law and her husband Karen and Jeff Boyer of Kansas City, Kansas; grandchildren Maxwell Thomas, Michael, Karrie, Kristine, Jon, Karla, Jason, Christopher, Mark, Brian, Dawn Michelle, Mendy, Danae, Mark, Michelle, Jackie, Michael, Hadley, Kelsey, Kaitlin, Abby, Carrie, Daniel, Morganne, Brad, Jason, Kimberly, Ben, Tracy, Tammy, and Stacey; and twenty-two great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Larry Chisholm; three brothers, Wesley, Richard, and Cliff; and two sisters, Mardell and Harriet.
