TORRINGTON, WYOMING...........Funeral services for LORRAINE SCHLAGER 76, will be held at 10am on Thursday, October 23, 2008 at the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Dr. James Clark officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Lorraine died at the Goshen Care Center on October 17, 2008. A memorial has been established to the Alzheimer’s Association. Visitation will be Wednesday from 3pm to 7pm and the casket will be open prior to the service at the church. Lorraine was born October 16, 1932 in Scotts Bluff County, Nebraska the daughter of Conrad and Mary (Kolb) Lebsack. She married Harry Schlager on May 3, 1952 and had two sons Mark and Harry Jr. They were later divorced in the early 1980's. When she was first married she worked at Cassel’s Bakery, then at the Ben Franklin Store, Torrington Medical Group, and then served as the Torrington City Clerk for many years. She worked for Torrington Community Hospital for a time as an administrative assistant before she retired. She was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s Disease in 1997 and entered Goshen Care Center in 1998. Lorraine enjoyed walking, reading, crafting, and especially spending time with her family. She was a member of the First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church and was involved with Community Hospital Auxiliary. Lorraine is survived by two sons, Harry Schlager Jr. of North Hills, California, and Mark Schlager and his wife Gaylene of Torrington, Wyoming; a granddaughter Brittany B. Schlager of Torrington; her ex-husband Harry Schlager Sr. of Cheyenne, Wyoming; one brother, Leonard Lebsack and his wife Nancy of Torrington; five sisters, Esther Peterson of Cheyenne, LaVerne Ahlbrandt of Columbus, Nebraska, Florence Smith and her husband Don of Pine Bluff, Wyoming, Lydia Baker of Cheyenne, and Shirley Quigley and her husband Walt of Scottsdale, Arizona. She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Marie Daigh and Amelia Lebsack; and one brother, Leroy Lebsack.
