Louise Moore

Funeral services for LOUISE C. MOORE, 87, will be held at 10am Tuesday, November 29, 2011 at the First Congregational Church in Torrington with Reverend Matt Gordon officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Louise died November 22, 2011 at Golden Orchard Living Center in Wheat Ridge, Colorado. In lieu of flowers a memorial has been established to either the Alzheimer or Dementia Associations at 455 Sherman St. Suite 500, Denver, CO 80203. Visitation will be Monday at the funeral home from 3pm to 7pm.The casket will be closed at the service. Louise was born December 15, 1923 in Morrill, Nebraska the daughter of George and Christine (Schrieber) Ault. She grew up and received her education in Hawk Springs, Wyoming. She married Theodore "Ted" Moore on February 8, 1942. They farmed in the Lingle, Wyoming area for fifteen years before moving to a farm north of Torrington, Wyoming in 1965. They farmed there until Ted’s death in 1996. She continued to live in Torrington until May of 2010 when she moved to Arvada, Colorado to live with her daughter. Louise enjoyed baking, knitting, crocheting, doing ceramics, making afghans, quilting, and canning fruits and vegetables. She was a member of the Lingle and Torrington Flower Clubs where she served as president many times. She learned to play organ in the early 1980's. Louise is survived by two daughters Sharon Kendall and her husband Jesse of Cheyenne, Wyoming and Gaylen Moore of Arvada, Colorado; two sons Larry Moore and his wife Teresa of Torrington, Wyoming and Bryan Moore and his wife Joanna of Joliet, Illinois; a sister Dorothy Schauerman of Torrington; seven grandchildren Shawn Schwab, Kevin Schwab, Jason Moore, Jared Moore, Duane Moore, Darcy Moore, and Morgan Moore; and a great grandson Theodore Jon Moore. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a son Ervine Moore; three brothers Manuel Ault, Henry Ault, and George Ault Jr.; and two sisters Caroline Schwab and Esther McCoy.
