Margaret "Marge" Darlene McCoy

MARGARET "MARGE" DARLENE MCCOY, 74, of Torrington, Wyoming, passed away peacefully on August 21, 2026, with her loving husband, Terry McCoy, by her side. She was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother and friend who brought genuine joy, warmth, and laughter to everyone around her. Marge was born on February 27, 1952, in Torrington, Wyoming, to Edgar and Darlene DeBrot. Her childhood was filled with rich adventures spent alongside her parents, brothers, aunts, uncles, and beloved grandparents, Thomas and Mary Lloyd, and Kittie “Putney” DeBrot. She graduated from Torrington High School in 1970. Marge was blessed with three wonderful children: Toni JoAnn Shaffer, Jason Dwaine Fuss, and Joel Wade Fuss. She later married Terry Dwain McCoy, and together they shared 34 wonderful years. Throughout their marriage, they lived in Lebanon, Indiana; Yorkville, Illinois; and Cypress, Texas, before returning home to Torrington, Wyoming, to enjoy retirement in 2020. During their years in Illinois, Marge served as a manager and buyer at the Christian bookstore Vine and Branches. She took immense pride in her work, offering gentle guidance, care, and encouragement to everyone who walked through the doors. Above all else, family was the heart and passion of Marge’s life. She treasured every moment spent with those she loved. Known for her fun-loving spirit, she loved playing board games, especially Marbles, playing Bingo with her many friends, arm wrestling her grandchildren, and taking on anyone brave enough for a game of Mario Kart. Marge is survived by her loving husband, Terry McCoy; their children, Toni Shaffer (Jeff), Jason D. Fuss (Tracie), and Joel Fuss (Tiphanie); six grandchildren, Cade Hansen, Ethan Corinescu, Chantel Jacaway (Danny), Jachob Fuss, Abigail Fuss, and Noah Fuss; and two great- grandchildren, Huntley and Harper Jacaway. She is also survived by her sisters-in-law, Mary Capps and Sheri Haynes (Marshal), along with many cherished cousins, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Darlene DeBrot; her mother and father-in-law, Dwain and Kathryn McCoy; her brothers, Thomas and Robert DeBrot; her brother-in-law, Buddy Capps; and her son-in-law, Gene Corinescu. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the First Congregational Church of Torrington, 2102 East E Street, Torrington, WY 82240. Per Marge's wishes, there will be no public celebration of life. A private family service will be held at a later time.
