Paul K Brown 1/25/1955 – 08/21/2022 Paul was born in Missouri on January 25, 1955. He went Home to see Jesus on August 21, 2022 in Loveland, Co after battling cancer and finally lost. Jesus called him home all too soon for us left behind. Paul is survived by his wife Michele, son Derek, his daughter in law Ella and grandchildren Oliver and Monica. He is also survived by his mother Doris, Sister Cathy with her husband Dan and their daughter and Caitlin. Paul’s father Harold Brown proceeded him in death. Paul’s older brother Matt proceeded him in death. His wife Sharon and their children Jennifer, Caleb and Erin reside in Greeley/Evans. And the family that embraced him as their own is brother in law Michael Trautner, his wife Brenda and their son Nick, his wife “Princess”, and their children. Also sister in law Sheri Carlson, her children Ryne and Kaylee and her spouse Chris, and Dick Carlson. Aunts and Uncle abound an cherished their nephew along with cousins. Paul moved to Eaton, Co at a young age and attended Eaton Schools. He enjoyed sports but found he liked to hunt more. In the early teen years, you could find Paul in the fall hunting deer and elk with his father Harold or in the winter sitting near one of the irrigation ditches near Eaton waiting for a duck. In 1973, it was a good year- Paul purchased a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser. It came to be a loving symbol of Paul and a special meaning to the family. It is sure, all the family will have a story about that Cruiser. After graduation, Paul worked. Nothing special there but he finally started at Harsh Hydraulics in Eaton Colorado. He worked hard, bought a house with a garage. In that garage, the Land Cruiser found a home. On August 21, 1982, he married Michele. They met in January of that year on a blind date, engaged in March and married in August. They were married in Eaton. Why August? Nothing to hunt during that month except doves at the end. Dove hunting marked the occasion of his mother’s birthday. After marriage, Michael and Sheri came into the picture with Michele. There are many memories in those early years of Paul and most of them are tied around the Land Cruiser and hunting. Michael got a Land Cruiser of his own and Paul enjoyed many hours working on it. Oh, they made it perfectly clear if Michele divorced Paul- they got to keep Paul! Life went on, Derek was born October 6, 1984 and he got the son he always wanted. He was proud of his beautiful boy and you know more hunting and fishing came with the addition. In 2004, Michele got a job transfer to Casper, Wy. It took all of 1 second for Paul to say “when do we pack?” He loved living in Wyoming. More hunting, fishing, driving to remote places to explore. From Casper to Cheyenne in 2010. He drew the line at the border. Then a piece of property was purchased in La Grange, WY for Michele’s retirement. Then a shed came to the property. Then the camper was there- ALL THE TIME. Then the cabin- Paul’s cabin. His “man cave”. Deer, Antelope and a Bear grace the walls. He was here, why keep the house in Cheyenne? So to LaGrange he went. Paul loved his life here. Counting the deer in the field from the front deck, watching the occasional turkey or grouse find its way past the house, a couple of battles with skunks and racoons but Oh the Gophers! Although he had not lived here long- he always said this was home. And he was happy here. He made more friends here than all the other places he lived. The Town of La Grange embraced the family. At the end, he wished he would be here for Oliver and Monica, to teach them a few things and sure it would be around hunting, fishing and maybe a float in the kayak. And a few other things that was unique to their Deda. He just couldn’t stay and hoped they would understand. But they should know that if he could get a job as a guardian angel, he would always be there for them. And he would be a great one. A Celebration of Life will be held on August 27, 2022 at 2:00 – LaGrange Bible Church. Please be casual. Paul only wore a suit once and it was rented on his wedding day. Burial will be at the La Grange cemetery surrounded by the bluffs and prairie he loved.
