Reva Theola Cameron TORRINGTON, Wyoming – Reva Theola Cameron, 102, died at the Goshen Care Center Wednesday, August 19, 2020. A graveside service will be held at 1:45 PM, Monday, August 24, at the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington with Pastor Scott Firminhac officiating. Memorials may be made to the Goshen Healthcare Community or Our Savior Lutheran Church. Reva was born August 24, 1917, in Weyerts, Nebraska the daughter of John Frederick and Amanda Marie (Rabe) Folkerts. She was married to Paul “Raymond” Cameron November 25, 1937. The couple resided in Torrington where Reva had an assortment of jobs until she became a cook at the middle school in 1973. She retired from the school district in 1985 and received a certificate from the State of Wyoming for all of her years of service. Reva had many different hobbies and interests. One of her favorites was crocheting. She mad many afghans, dish clothes, and fancy work on pillow cases. Music has always been a big part of Reva’s life. She enjoyed playing her organ and dancing. She belonged to a dance group that performed at the nursing homes, hospitals and many other places. She also loved cooking and baking. She made the best brownies, ginger cookies and angel food cakes. Special requests from grandchildren and great grandchildren always included thin pancakes and cinnamon rolls. She is a charter member of the Lutheran Church of Torrington and attended church and bible study classes regularly. Reva loved her family and she also loved having company. Survivors include her son Keith (Helen) Cameron of Alliance, NE; her son Rodney (Ginny) Cameron of Torrington, WY; daughters in law Lois Cameron of Cheyenne, WY and Judy Cameron of Casper, WY; 9 grandchildren and numerous great grandchildren. Reva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; two sons, Ronald and John Cameron; three brothers, Norman, Lynn and William Folkerts: three sisters, Leona Coslow, Nyla Fay Quintana and Leora June Powell.
