Betty Louise (Hulett) Veno was born August 28, 1939 in Vancouver, Washington to her parents William and Clara Hulett, both of whom preceded her in death. She was the second of five children. She and her husband were married July 16, 1959 in Sacramento, California where they both served in the US Air Force. In 1972 Betty symbolized her dedication to Jehovah God by being baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses in the Longmont, Colorado area. It meant a lot to her to follow closely in the footsteps of Jesus by preaching the good news of God’s Kingdom in the house to house ministry. She continued sharing in this important work right up until the time of her death. She was an avid reader and student of the Bible right up to the end. Her hope and her faith was that she will be reunited with her husband and family in the paradise earth, when she is resurrected (John 5:28, 29) by the voice of Jesus Christ, soon to come. Her friends and family will be anxious to welcome her when she is resurrected to perfect health in the paradise earth. (Revelation 21:3-5). Betty loved quilting and enriched the lives of countless others by sharing her gift through teaching them to quilt as well. An unknown number of quilts were made and gifted by Betty, blanketing her family and friends with love. She loved being outdoors and maintaining her beautiful flower and vegetable gardens, and looked forward to her bulbs peeping through the soil every spring. She was very interested in cooking and canning and taught her children the value of raising, gathering and storing food. Betty’s favorite place was at the beach in Washington State, feeding the seagulls and digging clams, and she instilled this love for the beach in her children. She also very much enjoyed traveling, camping and being outdoors with her husband and children. Betty worked in a nursing home in Longmont, Colorado for 10 years. She is survived by her husband John Thomas Veno, children James Veno, Michele (Veno) Sussex, Mary (Veno) Weingartner, John Andrew Veno, Susan (Veno) Kaps, William Veno, Paul Veno, Joan (Veno) Lukavich and Joseph Veno. She is also survived by her siblings Jean Hinchen, Carol Mougous, Irene Crisp and William Hulett, all of Washington State.
