Charlene May Morrison

Funeral services for CHARLENE MAY MORRISON, 86, will be held at 2pm Monday, June 24, 2013 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Charlene died in Ten Sleep, Wyoming on June 19, 2013. Memorials may be given to Torrington Senior Friendship Center-Special Events. The casket will be open briefly following the service. Charlene was born February 18, 1927 in Clarinda, Iowa one of four daughters to Charles and Iva May (Howard) Dunn. She attended school in Torrington, Wyoming and married Bert Morrison Jr in Torrington on April 15, 1943. Two sons, Larry and Donald were born to this union. She worked as a homemaker, Mother, and wife most of her adult life. For several years she worked in the Lander, Wyoming school lunch program. She worked several summers in the school youth programs in the Wind River Mountain summer camp above Lander, Wyoming. Charlene enjoyed sewing, reading, and bowling, as well as fishing when the children were young. Charlene is survived by two sons, Larry Morrison and his wife Alice of Sheridan, Wyoming, and Donald Morrison and his wife Judy of Ten Sleep, Wyoming; eight grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband Bert; and three sisters.
