Donald ""Eddie" Lampman

August 8, 1956 - December 14, 2012

DONALD EDWARD LAMPMAN Donald “Eddie” Edward Lampman, 56, died Friday, December 14, 2012 at his home, peacefully, surrounded by family and friends.Memorial services will be held at 2 pm Wednesday, December 19, at the Church of The Nazarene with Pastor Marie Fitts officiating. Cremation has taken place. Memorials may be made to the family. Friends may leave their condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com . Eddie was born August 8, 1956, in Wheatland, Wyoming the son of Charles and Darlene (Murphy) Lampman. He grew up and lived in the Torrington area most of his life. He was active in baseball; three years of Little League and one year of Babe Ruth. He received many trophies during that time. On November 14, 1974, Eddie married Patricia “Dee Dee” Salazar in Torrington, Wyoming. The couple lived in the area for many years. Eddie worked for Western Sugar in Mitchell, Nebraska for 9 years. He then went to work for Concrete Construction as a batch truck and dump truck driver. He later moved to Ft.Laramie to start his own lawn mowing and firewood business called Handy Don. He worked with his son-in-law Cory. After his wife’s death the family moved back to Torrington. Eddie retired from his business in 2006 due to health issues. In his spare time, Eddie enjoyed going fishing and teaching his children, nieces and nephews the right way to catch a fish. Eddie was quite the fisherman; he never came home empty handed. He also had a passion for motorcycles; especially Honda Goldwings. He enjoyed riding and fixing them. Eddie also enjoyed camping with his family, working in his garden and rebuilding motors. He is survived by his two daughters, Moriah (Cory) Mills and Melinda (Mark) Beasley of Torrington; four brothers, Ron (Mary) Lampman of Torrington, Phillip Lampman of Torrington, Tracy (Norma) Lampman of Torrington, and James Murphy of Kooskia, Idaho; a sister Denise (William) Neu of Torrington; grandson Jessie Mills of Torrington; step granddaughter Brittany Beasley of Torrington; and several nieces and nephews. Eddie was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; an infant daughter (Latricia); an infant nephew (Charlie); a great nephew (Dillion) and a sister (Velinda).
