Gladys was born on July 7, 1925 in Morrill, the daughter of Charles and Gladys (Garvin) Hrasky. She was raised on a farm between Morrill and Mitchell, and graduated from Morrill High School in 1944. She married Edward W. Wolski on Nov. 28, 1948 in Mitchell and the couple enjoyed 58 years together. They moved to Goshen County in 1950 and purchased a farm in the Yoder area in 1960 where they lived and raised their family. Gladys and Ed sold the farm in 1988 and retired, moving to Torrington. Gladys was a lifetime homemaker with a passion for cooking and baking. She would often mention that the secret to her cooking included a "dash of this" and a "dab of that." For a number of years she enjoyed her hobby of cooking for others at the Senior Friendship Center. Gladys particularly enjoyed making caramel-pecan angel food cakes for her friends. When not in the kitchen she enjoyed the outdoors and always had a large and bountiful garden while living on the farm. After moving to town she enjoyed going to weekly yard sales and taking the monthly bus journey to Prairie Winds. Gladys was a very generous and sharing person who enjoyed the simple things in life and never was a person to complain. She was a Past Worthy Matron of the Order of Eastern Star and a member of the Presbyterian Church in Torrington. Gladys is survived by her son, Francis "Wally" Wolski and his wife Teresa of Yoder, Wyo.; daughter, Janet Haas and her husband Glen of Torrington, Wyo.; grandchildren, Scott Haas and wife Lacey of Hooper, Utah, Erin Helzer and husband Michael of Casper, Wyo., and Amie Wolski and Ashley Wolski both of Philadelphia, Penn.; triplet great-granddaughters, Brooke, Bridget, and Breann Helzer of Casper; and three nieces.
