James "Jim" Hudelson
December 30, 1944 - March 19, 2016
JAMES A. HUDELSON passed away at home Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was 71 years old. Per Jim’s wishes ~ he will be cremated and No services will be held; but any memorials can be sent to the Eastern Wyoming College Foundation Scholarship Fund in his name. Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements. Jim was born December 30, 1944 in Torrington, Wyoming to Hugh and Helen (Wilson) Hudelson. He made Torrington his home for most of his adult life. On June 2, 1966 Jim married Cynthia L. Cruse, daughter of Gordon and Dorothy (Elder) Cruse. From this union arose three children, Sean, Gordon, and Mariah along with four grandsons, Colton, Dawson, Nathan and Quinn. Jim was highly respected both locally and nationally for his service to his community and state. He was Manager of Wyrulec in Lingle, Wyoming for thiry-five plus years and upon retirement was elected as a Goshen County Commissioner where he served for nine years. Jim was active with the Torrington Rotary Club and Goshen County Economic Development committee as well as serving on several State and National Boards. Jim enjoyed traveling to his various meeting places, spending time with his grandsons, and an occasional round of golf. He attended many Wyoming football games over the years and was a pretty good bowler back in the day. He really could make a spreadsheet too! Jim is survived by his wife Cynthia of Torrington; sons Sean (Kim) Hudelson of Denver, Colorado and Gordon (Malinda) Hudelson of Firestone, Colorado; daughter Mariah (Clayton) Johns of Scottsbluff, Nebraska; brothers Ralph (Jeanne) Hudelson of Ridgefield, Washington, David (Fran) Hudelson of Horse Shoe, North Carolina; sister Donna Dye of Muncie, Indiana; sister-in-law Barbara Hudelson of Hauppauge, New York; sister-in-law Nancy Hudelson of Salida, Colorado; sister-in-law Sharron (Paul) Houk of Pensacola, Florida; brother-in-law Don Cruse of Wellton, Arizona; and grandsons Colton and Dawson Johns of Scottsbluff, Nebraska and Nathan and Quinn Hudelson of Denver, Colorado. He was preceded in death by his parents Hugh and Helen; his brother Robert; brother-in-law Lee and his in-laws Gordon and Dorothy. Jim was a son, a brother, a husband, a son-in-law, a father, a grandfather, a brother-in-law, a father-in-law, a provider, a helper, a giver, a mentor, .....a Great Man.
