Funeral services for LANCE CORPORAL GOTTSCHIM, MICHAEL L. , 21, also known as “Bucket Head” and “Hanes”, will be held at 9am Saturday, December 10, 2016 at First Wyoming United Presbyterian Church with Reverend Vickie Kintzel officiating. Burial with military honors will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Michael died November 23, 2016 as the result of a fatal auto vs motorcycle collision in Burton, South Carolina. Michael was born April 8, 1995 in Scottsbluff, Nebraska the son of Michael Gottschim and Donnelle Springer. He resided most of his life in Torrington with his Mom and "Dad", Larry John Harmer, sister Dacota , and brother TJ. He received his early education in Torrington and the last three years at Southeast High School where he graduated in 2014. In school he played soccer, football, basketball and tennis. While he attended school he also worked briefly at M&T Recycling, Jay Clapper Farms and for Frank Harmer. Upon graduation, he pursued his career as a United States Marine. Michael was a bright-eyed, smiling young man who had many passions in life. #l was his family and friends. He was a stranger to no one. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, bow hunting and even rode a few bulls with his cousin Colten. He was very passionate about his many cars, trucks, and of course his bikes which he loved to ride especially with his biker family Endangered Species. Everyone who knew Michael (Bucket Head/Hanes) knew he loved life and everyone in it. Everyone knew and loved him in their own special way and all can agree he was amazing in every way. To everyone it is so hard to find such a limited amount to say because there are a million stories and memories which are all a priority. Michael is survived by his Mom and “Dad” Donnelle Springer and Larry John Harmer of Torrington, Wyoming; a brother Tevin “TJ” Springer of Whittier, California; two sisters Angel (Ryan) Westall of Morrill, Nebraska and Dacota Gottschim of Torrington; grandparents Donald and Joy Gottschim of Casper, Wyoming, Linda “Granny” Lindenmuth of Lyman, Nebraska and Larry and Marianne Harmer of Torrington; aunts and uncles Michelle and Richard Degraw and family of Lynnwood, Washington, Amanda and Louie Miller and family of Morrill, Allen and Cindy Lindenmuth and family of Torrington, Don and Candy Gottschim and family of Casper, Brenda and Mac Spaulding and family of Casper, Frank and Val Harmer of Veteran, Wyoming, Tina and Brett Walrath and family of Lincoln, Nebraska and Stacey and Mike Lira and family of Torrington; his dogs Clifford and Magnum; many special cousins, nieces and nephews; his endangered species (EFFE) biker family; and his military family. He was preceded in death by his father Michael Gottschim; grandparents Gene and Eleanor Springer; grandmother Jean Gottschim; and grandfather Allen Lindenmuth I.
