Memorial services for LAWRENCE RAY LAMMON, 91, will be held at 10am Wednesday, September 30, 2015 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Rick Cederholm officiating. Burial with Masonic and military honors will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Lawrence died September 24, 2015 at the Goshen Care Center and cremation has taken place. Memorials may be given to the Masonic Lodge, the Lingle Community Presbyterian Church, or the donor’s choice. Lawrence was born April 10, 1924 in Marsville, Oklahoma the son of Jay and Ora (Dill) Lammon. While he was in school he farmed with his father and then joined the US Army. Upon his discharge he moved to Kansas and was a crop duster. He married Kathryn Welty. They farmed in Kansas for a while before moving to Wyoming, eventually settling in Torrington in 1956. He worked construction and operated heavy equipment. He worked for Lou Yeik, Carruthers, the Wyoming Highway Department, and later after retirement for Torrington Disposal Service. After the death of his wife he later married Thelma Carroll. Lawrence enjoyed hunting, fishing, camping and RV’s. Lawrence is survived by two daughters Rita (Dwaine) Scott and Patricia (Jerry) Stitt all of Torrington, Wyoming; a son Neal (Elizabeth) Hill of Ammon, Jordan; a sister Charlotte (Bob) Swift of Colony, Kansas; a brother-in-law Carl Powers of Emporia, Kansas; six grandchildren; and ten great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents; his wives Kathryn and Thelma; and two sisters Nancy Lammon and Betty Powers.
