TORRINGTON, WYOMING...........Ruth Joy Novakovich passed away February 15, 2022 at home at the age of 97. She was born October 2nd, 1924 to Lawrence and Mary Ann (Barngrover) Hume in Marsland, Nebraska. Her childhood was spent working on her father’s farm. Later she attended college, received a teaching certificate and taught in a one room schoolhouse in rural Nebraska. She later worked many years as a clerk in Sheridan, Wyoming, where she met her future husband, Philip Novakovich. Ruth and Philip had two sons, Bruce (Dana) Novakovich of Salem, Oregon and Greg (Charlene) Novakovich of Loveland, Colorado, whom they raised lovingly. Ruth was devoted to her family, enjoyed reading and researching her genealogy, for which she had quite a knack. Ruth was preceded in death by her parents, all three of her siblings and husband. She is survived by her two sons. She will sorely be missed.
