Memorial services for WILMA JANE RONNE, 91, will be held at 11am Monday, April 27, 2015 at the United Methodist Church with Reverend Brian Kroeger officiating. Jane died at her home and cremation has taken place and the ashes will be buried in Valley View Cemetery following the service. Memorials may be made to the United Methodist Church. Jane was born January 7, 1924 in LaGrange, Wyoming the daughter of Earl and Ruth (Himes) Arnold. She started her education in Hawk Springs, Wyoming and later graduated from Torrington High School in 1941. She then attended the University of Wyoming where she received a two year degree in education, after which she taught school in Glenrock, Superior and Hawk Springs Wyoming during World War II. On August 26, l946 she married Robert Kumelos and to this union were born four children. They lived in Laramie, Wyoming for 22 years where Wilma not only raised her family, but became a Real Estate Saleswoman for a few years. She also furthered her schooling by obtaining her BA in education from the University. After a divorce in l968, Wilma went back to teaching, obtaining a position in Medicine Bow, Wyoming where she taught for seven years. In May 1972, she married Blain Ronne. After retirement the couple lived a short time in Loveland, CO and later moved to Torrington where they had resided ever since. Wilma was a member of the United Methodist Church, the American Legion Auxiliary, the Moose Lodge, the Elks Club and the Southeastern Wyoming Art Association. Her hobbies included sewing, painting, bowling and playing scrabble. She was a self employed artist, architect and broker. She loved poetry and wrote frequently in her greeting cards. She also was an avid genealogist, researching records of family members and writing biographies. Wilma is survived by a son Jim Kumelos of Wheatland, Wyoming; three daughters Karol Kumelos of Long Beach, California, and twin daughters Joan (Jim) Eastlack of Long Beach and Jean Kumelos (Barry Mountain) of Cheyenne, Wyoming; a brother Ted Arnold of Torrington, Wyoming; three sisters Elnora Turner of Grand Junction, Colorado, Janet Field of Casper, Wyoming, and Myrna Ellis of LaGrange, Wyoming; ten grandchildren; twenty-two great grandchildren; two step children Steve Ronne and David Ronne; five step-grandchildren; and several step-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a brother Paul; and an infant twin brother.
