Delores Ann Rezendes

TORRINGTON, Wyoming — Delores Ann (Wallace) Rezendes went to be with her Lord and savior Saturday December 17th at her home in Torrington, Wyoming at the age of 76. Services for Delores will be held at the Torrington United Methodist Church at 2702 Main Street in Torrington at 1 pm on Friday December 23rd, 2022. There will be a fellowship with coffee, drinks, and cookies to follow. Delores was born on April 14, 1946, in Twin Falls, Idaho to William Harvey and Fern Velna (Magoffin) Wallace. She spent her childhood in the Bellevue, Idaho area, graduated from Wood River High School, and then attended a short certificate business program at the College of Southern Idaho. In May 1967 Delores married Richard H. Rummel in Las Vegas, NV and to this union they had 3 children. Dee enjoyed cooking and sewing and was very good at both. She made most of her children’s clothing when they were young and later would make clothing for her grandchildren that they all cherished. During her life she was primarily employed as a chef/dietician role. She worked at hospitals, restaurants, and homes as a cook, and she was a great cook. She even baked goods for friends, church members, and family after she retired. She also sewed clothing and donated them to a foster closet. In the summer, Dee would have a big garden and would share her produce with family and friends also. She was most well known for her raspberry jelly and her dilly beans. She sewed each of her grandchildren and most of the great grandchildren a blanket when they were born. These were very much loved by each grandchild. Dee married Richard Arnold Rezendes in 1990 in Reno, NV and moved to Hayward, California. She lived there with him until 1999 when he retired and they moved to Torrington, Wyoming to be closer to Dee’s children. This allowed her to also teach some of her grandchildren how to cook and sew which she truly loved. After the passing of her husband in 2006 Delores became very active in the VFW and would help them with events and especially Bingo. She loved to play Bingo. She is survived in life by her children, Rebecca (James) McAllister, Floyd (Rhonda) Rummel, and Eric (Shannon) Rummel, her eldest brother Gerald Wallace, grandchildren Abigail (Christopher) Meredith, Jordan (Rachel) McAllister, Dakin (Dallie) Rummel, Chandler Rummel, Sage Rummel, and Cort Rummel, and 5 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by both her parents, brother Robert Wallace, brother James Wallace, and sister Mary (Wallace) Shoemaker.
