Dennis Lynn Weickum

DENNIS LYNN WEICKUM, 67, of Torrington, WY passed away suddenly on April 3rd, 2026, at home. In accordance with Dennis’s wishes, a cremation has taken place, and a private service will be held at a later date. The Colyer Funeral Home assisted the family with the cremation arrangements and condolences may be sent to www.colyerfuneralhome.com Dennis was born on July 23rd, 1958, in Torrington, WY to Edmond and Evelyn Weickum. Dennis was born and raised in Torrington and graduated from Torrington High School, class of 1976. He dedicated his career to agriculture, retiring from Simplot with 28 years of service. Dennis was married to Abbe Altmaier on August 11th, 1979 and from this union two children were born. Dennis took pride in being a father to his two children Justin Weickum and Jennifer Inman (Weickum). Dennis loved supporting his children’s activities and was always present for games, recitals, musicals and all other milestone events. Dennis’s favorite role was that of grandpa. He treasured his time spent with his five grandchildren Landon Williams (22), Taylor Williams (22), Josi Weickum (16), Nolan Inman (8), and Penelope Inman (2). Any phone call or conversation always started with how are the grandkids. To know Dennis was to know his sense of humor. He was always waiting to dish out a wisecrack or razz those closest to him. He was an avid baseball fan! You could always find Dennis watching a game, whether it was the Torrington Tigers, Boston Red Socks, or maybe his favorite past-time, the Little League World Series. Dennis is survived by his son Justin (Amber) Weickum, daughter Jennifer (Neal) Inman, grandchildren, brother Gary (Bunnie) Weickum, sisters; Debi Weickum, Pammy Weickum, Thelma Bonnell, Karen Hutchinson, nephews; Tab Reinhart, Jason Weickum, Levi Weickum, Darrell Paul Heiderman Nieces; Jamielyn Acevedo, Denise Miller, Janel Betty Dennis is proceeded in death by his father Edmond Weickum, mother Evelyn Mitchell, sister Dorthy Reinhardt Weickum, aunt Loretta Herdt and nephews; Rick Reinhart, Bruce Reinhart. Dennis will be deeply missed by his children, grandchildren, siblings and many other family members and friends.
