Dixie Marie McCoy

Funeral services for DIXIE MARIE MCCOY, 53, will be held at 2pm Monday, October 17, 2016 at the First Baptist Church with Reverend Rick Cederholm officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery. Dixie died at her home on October 8, 2016. In lieu of flowers memorials may be given to either the First Baptist Church or Festival of Hope at Regional West Medical Center and gratefully appreciated by the family. Visitation will be Monday from 9am to noon and the casket will be closed at the service. Dixie was born March 8, 1963 to Milton Earl and Lois Ruth (Walker) Weber in Lusk, Wyoming. She attended school in Lusk, Jeffery City and Rawlins, Wyoming and later received a GED from EWC in Torrington, Wyoming. She married Leon Lemons in March of 1978 and born to this union was a daughter Shana Marie. They later divorced and she married her soul mate Loy McCoy on March 25, 1982. Born to this union was a daughter Tabatha Sue on June 1, 1982 and a son Bandy Joe (B Joe) on June 14, 1985. Dixie was employed by Holly Sugar Imperial Holly and Western Sugar since 1979. She learned from the ground up on every job that was offered to her until ill health kept her from working there any longer. Dixie was a member of the First Baptist Church in Torrington and also an officer of REBA (Retired Employees Benefit Association). She enjoyed spending time with family and her grandchildren. She also enjoyed boating and camping. She was a care giver for her mother-in-law for too many years to mention. She always put everyone first and loved her family very much. They meant the world to her. Dixie is survived by her husband Loy McCoy; children Shana (Jeremy) Anderson, Teldon and Braxdon, Tabatha (Stephen) Keefer and Hailey Howe, Bandy Joe (Raysha) and Justin, Sena McCoy and family and Melissa Watson and family. Siblings Dorothy Meyer, Luella Ostergaard, Lloyd (Shelley) Smith, Sandy (Mike) Rose, Shary (Bob) Moore, and Tom (Colleen) Weber. Niece Amanda (Steve) Dominguez. Brothers-in-law and their spouses Max (Donna), Gene (Pat) and Fred (Wahnita) McCoy. She was preceded in death by her parents, maternal grandparents, half-sister Jolene, mother-in-law Cora and numerous aunts and uncles. Also good friends and coworkers Huck, Don Carr, Don Schmer and Doug Harvey. Dixie wanted to say a special thank you to Lori Schaffer for taking care of her the last few years.
