Gerald Lee Notman

Gerald “Jerry” Lee Notman, 77, of Goshen County, Wyoming, and Mesquite, Nevada, passed away on September 18, 2025. A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on September 27th at Colyer Funeral Home in Torrington, WY. A reception will follow at the Rendezvous Center at the Goshen County Fairgrounds. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to Christian Community Church in Mesquite, Nevada (P.O. Box 155 Mesquite, NV 89024), or the Goshen County Rooster Boosters (1920 East A Torrington, WY 82240). He was born February 21, 1948, in Scottsbluff, Nebraska, to Orval and Maude Notman. Jerry was the eighth of ten children and grew up in Huntley, Wyoming, where he attended school and graduated in 1966. Following graduation, Jerry attended Eastern Wyoming College. While there, he met the love of his life, Sharon Bath. The two were married on March 30, 1969, in Torrington, Wyoming, and together they built a life filled with love and devotion. Jerry and Sharon were the proud parents of two sons, Justin Shane Notman and Brent Lee Notman. Jerry served his country in the National Guard and went on to dedicate his life to both farming and the agricultural industry. He farmed for 25 years and worked for the Kelly Bean Company for 31 years. He was a lifelong member of Lyman Christian Church and later became a devoted member of Christian Community Church in Mesquite, Nevada. In addition to his strong work ethic and faith, Jerry enjoyed many hobbies. He loved hunting, fishing, golf, and rodeo. He was a member of the Goshen County Rooster Boosters and valued the friendships and community found there. Jerry is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Sharon; his sons, Justin Notman and Brent (Monica) Notman; and his two granddaughters, Calee (Taylor) Davidson and Katie Notman. He is also survived by siblings Jim (Bonnie) Notman, Linda (John) Boe, and Kathy (Jerry) Bow; sister-in-law, Barbara Notman; brother-in-law, Melvin Schwab; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; siblings Evelyn Means, Harold Notman, Vivian (Nick) DiDonato, Marilyn (Stan) Willadsen, and Carolyn Schwab. Jerry will be remembered for his love of family, his faith, and his steady presence in the lives of those who knew him.
