Pauline Orr

HENRY, NEBRASKA.............Funeral services for PAULINE C. ORR, 67, will be held at 10:00a.m. Monday, January 29, 2007 at the Henry United Methodist Church with Pastor Tom Youngquist officiating. Burial will follow in the Valley View Cemetery in Torrington, Wyoming. Pauline died at the Mitchell, Nebraska Care Center on January 25, 2007. Memorials may be directed to either the family or Prairie Haven Hospice. Visitation will be Sunday, January 28, 2007 at the Colyer Funeral Home and prior to the service at the church. Pauline was born March 17, 1939 in Hawk Springs, Wyoming the daughter of George and Esther (Miller) Wilhelm. She grew up and received her education in various places in Wyoming and graduated Torrington High School in 1957. She worked at Hested?s Department Store until she married Robert Orr in Torrington on November 13, 1960. They lived in Henry most of the rest of her life. She worked at Anderson Hardware, Anderson Grocery, at Western Sugar during campaigns, and they owned and operated Orr's Conoco in Henry. In 1989 she became the postmistress in Henry until her retirement in 2000. Pauline enjoyed gardening, sewing, cooking, camping, fishing, and especially her grandchildren. She was a member of the Henry United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women, Henry Betterment Club, and was director and teacher of the church Sunday School for many years. Pauline is survived by her husband Robert of Henry; two daughters, Kelly Svitak and her husband Mark of Colona, Illinois, and Laurene Avila and her husband Jeff of Henry; three brothers, George Wilhelm and his wife Jean of Torrington, Peter Wilhelm of Torrington, and Daniel Wilhelm of Cheyenne, Wyoming; two sisters, Betty Zimmerman and her husband Dennis of Sterling, Colorado and Virginia Gibson and her husband Dan of Lyman, Nebraska; five grandchildren, Brent Svitak of the USMC, Tylor Svitak of Colona, Illinois, and Kristen, Brandon, and Andrew Avila all of Henry. She was preceded in death by her parents, one infant brother, and one son, Robert James Orr, Jr.
