TORRINGTON, WY ..... Funeral services for PENELOPE ANN 'PENNY' MORGAN-HIGLEY, 38, will be held at 2:00pm on Thursday, March 16, 2006 at the Riverside Church of Christ with Pastor Gary Flom officiating. Cremation will follow the services. Penny died unexpectedly on March 10, 2006 at Regional West Hospital in Scottsbluff, Nebraska. Visitation hours will be held on Wednesday from 1pm to 7pm at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel. A memorial has been established to Penny's daughter, Jennifer. Arrangements are under the direction of the Colyer Funeral Home and friends are invited to send condolences to the family at www.colyerfuneralhome.com Penny was born on August 3, 1967 in Frankfurt, Germany the daughter of military parents, Peter and Marilyn (Vandre) Higley, Sr. She grew up and attended elementary school in Wisconsin while living with her Aunt Audrey and Uncle Hal. She then moved to Texas in 1979 and attended high school; graduating from high school at Tatum Texas in 1987. Penny and her daughter have resided recently , and in previous years, before her marriages and recent divorce, with her cousin Chelly Bartow in Torrington. She was employed at Taco Johns and Hardees before working at the Torrington Telegram for the past four years where she was most recently the printing department supervisor. Penny had many friends and extended families who loved her and she was a very compassionate and loving person to just about everyone she knew. She loved her job and co-workers at the Torrington Telegram. The family would like to extend their special thanks at this time to Jeff and Deb Robertson, Ward Anderson, Goshen Ministries, Todd and Lori Smith, and the Colyer Funeral Home for the help that they have given to the family. She is survived by her daughter, Jennifer Marie Morgan, age 15, of Torrington; her father Peter Higley, Sr of Texas; her mother Marilyn also of Texas; one brother Peter (Jessica) Higley, Jr currently serving in the US Navy; several aunts and uncles, Maggie and Paul Trigleth of Baraboo, Wisconsin; Helene and Gerry Decot of Rio, Wisconsin, Merritt and Joan Higley of Lodi, Wisconsin, and Audrey Vandre of Torrington; several nieces and nephews, and many cousins, including one very special cousin Chelly Bartow and her husband Wayne of Torrington.
