TORRINGTON, WY.....Funeral services with military rites for ROBERT HEWARD, 84, will be held on Saturday August 9, 2008 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel at 2:30 pm with Pastor Ken Beauchene officiating. Burial will be at Valley View Cemetery. Cremation has taken place. Robert died on August 6, 2008 at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne, Wyoming. Memorials can be made to Waggin’ Tails Animal Shelter of Torrington or Wyoming Game and Fish. He was born Robert Ernest Heward on April 15, 1924 in Evanston, Wyoming to Clarence and Sara Jane (Williams) Heward. He received his education in Evanston and graduated Salutatorian and class president in1942. After high school Robert joined and served in the Army for three years. He went on to attend the University of Wyoming, graduating in 1950 with an Agricultural degree. After graduation Robert met Barbara Scott at Greybull, and the two were united in marriage on June 1, 1951. Robert’s career with the soil conservation USDA took he and his wife to many different Wyoming towns including Cody, Powell, Lander, Riverton and finally to Torrington in 1970, where he worked until retirement. Robert was very knowledgeable in Horticulture and soil conservation. He enjoyed big game hunting, fly fishing, bird hunting and watching, gardening, and a fond love for Britney Spaniel dogs as well. Robert cherished the outdoors immensely, and bestowed this legacy to his family. He is survived by three daughters, Cindi Kethcart and her husband Ric of Cheyenne, WY, LuAnn Heward Marks and her husband Willie of Sheridan, WY, and Bobbi Kay Feagler and her fiance Randy Giles of Torrington, WY, four grandsons, Andy Feagler and his wife Michaela of Windsor, CO, Aaron Feagler and his fiance Lisa Gardels of Cheyenne, WY, Tyson Feagler of Torrington, WY, and David Kethcart of Castle Rock, CO, two granddaughters Katie Kethcart of Parker, CO, and Lanni Paronto of Sheridan, WY, one great grandson, Carter Feagler of Windsor, CO, as well as several nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his parents, his wife Barbara and one brother Ray Heward.
