TORRINGTON, WYOMING..............Memorial services for SANDRA L. RIEB, will be held at 2pm Friday, August 1, 2008 at the Colyer Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Matt Gordon officiating. Sandy died at Memorial Hospital Converse County in Douglas, Wyoming on July 29, 2008. Cremation has taken place. A memorial has been established to the Torrington Senior Friendship Center. Sandy was born February 14, 1937 at home in Gering, Nebraska the daughter of George and Amelia (Leonhart) Hankins. She was second to the oldest of nine children. She went to school and graduated from Torrington High School. She was a majorette for the Torrington band and was an accomplished artist. People were always asking her to decorate cakes, draw or paint things for them, all of which she did free of charge and all of which she never signed. Sandy married Marvin Rieb on April 12, 1964. They had two daughters Andrea and Shellee. They lived in Laramie, Wyoming, Bennett, Colorado, and finally made their home in Torrington. She worked as a secretary for Goshen County Mental Health, Andrews Livestock, and Eastern Wyoming College until her retirement. Sandy loved fishing and camping at Grayrocks near Wheatland, Wyoming with her family. She always said she had the most fun there and with her family. Sandy is survived by her husband Marvin of Torrington, Wyoming; daughters, Andrea Johnson and her husband Ray of Douglas, Wyoming and Shellee Wells and her husband Wade of Wheatland, Wyoming; four grandchildren, Mike Johnson and his wife Melissa of Lead, South Dakota, Tony Johnson and his wife Erin of Casper, Wyoming, and Dakota and Dante Wells of Wheatland; two great grandchildren, Brayden and Hunter Johnson; three brothers, Jerry Hankins and Danny Hankins both of Torrington, and Berry Hankins of Wheatland; one sister, Jennifer Marlatt of Burns, Wyoming; and numerous nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; sister Kathy; and brothers Liz, George, and Bob.
