History & Staff

We have years of experience caring for families, from all walks of life. Each family comes to us because they know we are leaders in our profession, dedicated to excellence in service, and have the highest integrity.

Our History

Established in 1927, the years have brought many changes to the Colyer Funeral Home, but as a proud member of the International Order of the Golden Rule, the motto has remained: "Service measured not by gold, but by the golden rule." Welcome to COLYER FUNERAL HOME WEB SITE. We hope the information provided here and on the following pages will offer you help and insight into who we are.

Quite possibly, one of the most comforting aspects of the Colyer Funeral Home is that it is privately owned. Our full and part-time staff members are all local people and therefore have a personal desire to care for the families they serve with compassion, honesty, and respect. All staff members make every effort to arrange and personalize each funeral to every family situation as it is called for.
